Welcome to professormonstera.com.au. By accessing or placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. About Us

professormonstera.com.au is operated by Droguett Pty Ltd (ABN 58 685 904 009), trading as Professor Monstera, based in North Rothbury, Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. We are registered for GST. All prices displayed on our website include GST unless otherwise stated.

2. Orders and Payment

  • All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
  • Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.
  • We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
  • Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice.

3. 48-Hour Dispatch Guarantee

We guarantee your order will be packed and dispatched within 48 hours of payment confirmation. If we fail to dispatch within 48 hours, we will reimburse your shipping costs.

Important conditions and exceptions:

  • The 48-hour period begins from confirmed payment during business hours (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Orders placed after 2pm Friday or on weekends begin the 48-hour clock from 9am Monday.
  • If we contact you within the 48-hour window to advise of a delay, shipping reimbursement does not apply. We will always communicate proactively.
  • The guarantee is void in circumstances beyond our reasonable control including natural disasters, carrier disruptions, stock discrepancies, or address errors provided by the customer.
  • Shipping reimbursement applies to standard shipping costs only, not express or same-day options.
  • Reimbursement is issued as store credit or refunded to the original payment method within 5 business days of a valid claim.
  • To claim, email us at helpdeskprofmon@gmail.com within 7 days of your order date.

4. PM Rewards Membership

PM Rewards is a paid membership program with three tiers:

  • Profmonty — $29/month: 7.5% discount on all products, 1 × 50% shipping discount per month
  • Profmonty Plus — $49/month: 15% discount on all products, 1 × free shipping per month
  • Profmonty Gold — $99/month: 20% discount on all products, 3 × free shipping per month, 2× giveaway entries

Membership Terms:

  • Membership is billed monthly via Seal Subscriptions on your Shopify account.
  • Founding member pricing is locked at the rate you join at, for as long as your membership remains continuously active. If you cancel and rejoin, current pricing applies.
  • Membership discounts apply to product prices only — they do not stack with other promotional discounts unless otherwise specified.
  • The 20% discount refers specifically to the Profmonty Gold tier. All tiers receive discounts as described above.
  • You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued.
  • We reserve the right to modify membership benefits with 30 days notice to active members.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or suspend a membership if a member breaches these Terms and Conditions.

5. Giveaways and Competitions

  • Monthly giveaways are open to active PM Rewards members at the time of the draw.
  • Gold members receive 2 entries per draw; other tiers receive 1 entry.
  • Prize values and types vary monthly and are announced on our social media channels.
  • Winners are selected randomly and notified by email. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner is drawn.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Giveaways are conducted in accordance with applicable Australian consumer law.

6. Product Information

  • We take care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate, but we do not warrant that descriptions are error-free.
  • Product images are for illustrative purposes. Actual products may vary slightly.
  • We reserve the right to substitute products of equal or greater value if a product is unavailable.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website including text, images, logos, and the "Professor Monstera" brand is owned by Droguett Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Professor Monstera is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability to you in any circumstances is limited to the purchase price of the relevant products.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Our Dispatch Guarantee

We dispatch every single day. Your order is guaranteed to be packed and sent within 48 hours of payment confirmation — or we reimburse your shipping costs. See full conditions in our Terms and Conditions.

Where We Ship

We ship Australia-wide. We currently do not ship internationally.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your delivery address. We use Australia Post and selected courier partners to ensure fast, reliable delivery.

  • Standard shipping: Calculated at checkout
  • Free shipping: Available to PM Rewards members as part of their monthly entitlements
  • Flat rate shipping: May be offered on selected promotions

Delivery Timeframes

Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are:

  • NSW/ACT/VIC/QLD: 1–4 business days
  • SA/WA/TAS/NT: 3–7 business days

These are estimates only. Delivery times may be affected by carrier delays, public holidays, and remote locations. We are not responsible for carrier delays once your order has been dispatched.

Tracking

All orders are sent with tracking. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched. Use this to monitor your delivery via the carrier's website.

Delivery Address

  • Please ensure your delivery address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
  • We do not deliver to PO Boxes for some product types due to size and weight restrictions.
  • If a delivery is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt, re-delivery charges may apply.

Damaged or Lost Orders

  • If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the damage and contact us within 48 hours of delivery at helpdeskprofmon@gmail.com.
  • If your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your order, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate with the carrier.
  • We will replace or refund damaged items in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

PM Rewards Member Shipping Benefits

Free and discounted shipping entitlements reset on your monthly billing date. Unused entitlements do not carry over.

Returns and Refunds Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Change of Mind Returns

We accept change of mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided:

  • The item is unused, unopened, and in original condition
  • The item is in its original packaging
  • You cover the return shipping cost

Change of mind returns are not accepted for: opened nutrient solutions, opened growing media bags, or perishable products.

Faulty or Damaged Products

If your product arrives faulty or damaged:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage
  • We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you
  • You do not need to return the damaged item in most cases

Incorrect Items

If we send you the wrong product, contact us within 7 days. We will send the correct item and arrange return of the incorrect one at our cost.

How to Return

  2. We will respond within 1 business day with return instructions
  3. Pack items securely and send to the address provided
  4. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the return

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable for change of mind returns
  • If your order qualified for free shipping and you return part of the order, the shipping cost may be deducted from your refund

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation for reasonably foreseeable losses.
